```The Temper Trap Red Bank Concert reviews
Well produced show, positive vibe
The Temper Trap tour, initiated in early 2026, was a delayed operation that I believe appeared before COVID on the radar. She uses a section of the show to perform and get audience feedback on new songs played with traditional voice + piano vs her electronic production, blending her soul and club hits in a full glam production show. Different people had strong preferences for traditional or electronic "unlocked" performance, with clear space between audience reactions between the two styles. That part of the show also explains her catalog, filled with soul and dance music that do not always seem to go together. Her voice was very strong with endurance, and The Temper Trap performed well. She was gracious to the audience, even walking out into the crowd to touch hands with large sections of people. I give the show 4 stars because it was good, not great. She communicated a message of positivity, gratitude, hope, and fun with zero politics. There were few moments of emotional vulnerability or goosebump moments throughout the show, despite its beautiful, expensive, complex production and fantastic sound. One notable moment was the New York section of the show, where she played 2 beautiful songs about the city with a moving video montage and Jay-Z's memorable homage to the Big Apple. The Temper Trap has always been madly in love with her city, reminding us it is still a wonderful place that can inspire even after the pandemic and numerous problems bringing her low in recent years. She played all the hits well but did not show any creative fireworks, unexpected creative rearrangements, medleys, covers, improvisations, or encores.
